Edward Foresman, PT, DPT, OCS

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Dr. Ed Foresman is a physical therapist at ActivCore at Cherry Creek, located in Denver, Colorado. He is recognized as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist (OCS), Redcord Neurac Provider, and Dry Needling Specialist.

Dr. Foresman graduated from the University of Colorado physical therapy program in 2008 earning his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. He then pursued a Residency at Temple University in Philadelphia and became Board Certified in Orthopedics. Throughout his training he has been privileged to learn from national and international experts in the field of physical therapy and has integrated a wide variety of techniques allowing him to achieve rapid results with individuals who have often suffered from chronic symptoms.

An avid consumer of research, Dr. Foresman keeps up-to-date on the most current literature which led him to begin studying Redcord and the revolutionary NEURAC (NEURomuscular ACtivation) treatment method. He continues to integrate his NEURAC training with the other methodologies he has been formally trained in, including trigger point dry needling, Graston, SFMA, spinal manipulation, and the McKenzie method.

As an athlete himself, Dr. Foresman has participated in collegiate rowing, soccer, long-distance running and cycling. He continues to compete in local and regional running events and has coached for the BolderBoulder training club, preparing runners for races from the 5k to the marathon.

Nick Holm, PT, MSPT, TPI

Physical Therapist

Nick Holm is a physical therapist at ActivCore in Cherry Creek, Colorado. He has received advanced training in spinal mobilization and manipulation, TMJ disorders, ankle/foot pathology, knee/shoulder injuries, and golf specific injuries. Nick has been certified since 2010 as a level 3 golf fitness instructor by the Titleist Performance Institute. He is also certified in trigger point dry needling.

Nick grew up in Houston and fell in love with physical therapy at a young age. After multiple knee surgeries due to high school sports injuries Nick decided to pursue a career in physical therapy. He was accepted to the accelerated Masters program at Boston University with academic scholarship. Several Red Sox games and St. Patrick’s days later, Nick graduated and moved to Denver to start his career. He has been practicing in the Denver area since 2007 and joined the Activcore team after receiving training in the Neurac method using the RedCord sling suspension system.

As the profession is constantly evolving, Nick believes strongly in continuing education. He enjoys treating clients of all ages with particular interest in sports related injuries and biomechanics. He utilizes manual therapy techniques to promote an optimal environment for the body to heal and combines functional exercises to retrain appropriate movement patterns to prevent recurrence of injury. He also stresses the importance of patient education so that clients have the tools at home to maximize their recovery and ability to return to the activities they love. In his free time, Nick enjoys playing golf, soccer, basketball, football, and softball.

Rhonda Dodge, MSPT

Physical Therapist

Rhonda Dodge is a senior physical therapist at ACTIVCORE in Denver, CO, located inside the Cherry Creek Wellness Center and the Cherry Creek Athletic Club. Rhonda earned a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 1995 from Washington University (St. Louis, MO) – the number one ranked physical therapy school in the nation. Prior to that she studied Biology and Psychology at Greenville College in Illinois.

After graduating from physical therapy school, Rhonda worked at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, and then moved to Minneapolis for four years where she gained experience in both neurological rehabilitation and outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.

Colorado native, Rhonda returned to Denver in 2000 and eventually joined Cherry Creek Wellness Center . She practiced as a staff physical therapist and earned the title of clinical manager. She also became certified in trigger point dry needling, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and has done advanced training in kinesiotaping, running assessment, and the McKenzie method.

Rhonda continues to make a significant difference in the quality of life for people in the Greater Denver Area. She has joined the ACTIVCORE team, to offer patients more valuable one-on-one treatment time, and to provide highly customized care enabling them to return to their active lifestyles.

In addition to skilled manual therapy, Rhonda integrates the Redcord suspension system into her daily treatments as a more holistic way to rehabilitate and restore functional muscle control. She believes in not just treating the symptoms, but the cause, and that with restoring healthy movement patterns, clients can progress to achieve more than they thought possible. She is taking advanced continuing education coursework to become fully certified in the Redcord NEURAC (NEURomuscular ACtivation) method by 2018.

Rhonda has a special way of developing strong and trusting therapeutic, and often long term relationships with her patients. She strongly believes that empowering them to be a part of their healing is vital to achieving their movement goals.

Wendy Adams, PMA-CPT, RAS

Functional Fitness

Wendy discovered Pilates at the age of 15 while dancing Pre-Professionally with the Atlanta Ballet, and loved how Pilates complimented and enhanced her Ballet training.

In 2005, Wendy completed her Power Pilates 600 hour Comprehensive Training Program at Studio Lotus in Atlanta, GA. After the birth of her second daughter in 2009, she discovered Redcord and how amazing that was to help her recover from pregnancy. Wendy’s love of healthy movement encouraged her to advance her training and become FMS certified and she has also received advanced training in Stretch Therapy. She has spent the last ten years working at Studio Lotus in Atlanta, GA and has fine-tuned all of her skills to create individualized workout for clients of all levels. Wendy is PMA certified and is Denver’s only Certified Redcord Active Specialist.

Wendy and her family relocated to Denver, CO in 2015. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, hiking, dancing and the occasional obstacle course race.
